My Brown Newfies
My Brown Newfies is a blog about life with Newfoundland dogs, written by an owner who shares everyday stories with the breed.
Breed-specific stories from a large-dog household.
The chew bone
A chew bone sits by the step, ready for the most important guest, which is you, obviously.
The favorite ball
A well-loved ball waits by the lodge. It has been thrown many, many times and is ready for more.
The butterfly
A butterfly has paused by the lodge wall, in no hurry to be anywhere else.
The big doorway
The lodge has a generous doorway, tall enough for a dog, a person and a great deal of enthusiasm.
The round window
A little arched window lets the afternoon light in, and lets curious noses look out.
